Glossary
A few terms that carry a precise meaning here, and a looser one elsewhere.
- Modeling
- Observing a competence where it happens, extracting the structure underneath it, and testing whether that structure produces the same result in someone else’s hands. The last step is what separates a model from a portrait.
- Worked example
- A completed modeling project, kept on the site because the method can be watched from beginning to end in it.
- Identifications
- Plural and contextual, as opposed to a single fixed identity. A person does not have one identity that occasionally shifts; they identify differently depending on where they are.
- Meta space
- The space from which the rest of one’s experience can be observed. Adding a chosen state to that observation turns it into something more than distance.
- Maturity levels
- Exploration, Tool, Worked example. A model matures; the label says where it currently stands, not how good it is.
